Yes, if you get 750fps MV with .177 RWS Superdome 8.3gr pellets. You can take rabbit or squirrel out to around 30yds. At 30 yds the pellet velocity will be 573.76fps and fpe will be 6.07





IMO** 6fpe ';at impact'; is enough to take small game such as rabbit and squirrel if you use proper shot placement and hunting pellets.





As with any huntng you need the proper equipment and skill.

This should give you some idea of the minimum necessary.





Some of these guys say 3-4fpe is enough for a squirrel but, IMO that's really pushing it.

The rabbit he shot at 44yds looks pretty dead to me. The .177 RWS Superdome pellet from his rifle at 44yds would have been traveling at 574fps with 6.07fpe....

Yes, it will also kill with a shot to the body. For body shots though, the match pellets hit a lot harder than the pointed pellets on and animal the size of a squirrel, even though they don't shoot as flat. I have an old Daisy 880 which I believe shoots 655? with pellets and it has broken the shoulders on cottontails.

yes it will if you are about 15-20 metres away. but it would be hard to get a clean shot to the head with just a pellet gun. maybe you should consider purchasing a .22lr rifle for this kind of shooting. Good Luck =)
Not as likely as some would like you to believe if it is a .177 caliber. If it is a .22 caliber pellet, yes, that close to 20 ft lbs muzzle energy, considered the minimum for a clean, humane kill. Much easier to use this and a good body shot is far easier.

Depending on the range, yes it will. I shot a squirrel about 20 yds. away with a air rifle that goes 525fps. (The squrrel didn't have a second to know what hit him) .I would use a super point or a dome pellet to do the job, thats what works for me.
