I feed a lot of California gray squirrels in my yard who look pretty much alike. A new guy has started coming who is smaller and much grayer, has white rings around his eyes and a grayish-white collar around his neck and down his chest. His tail looks like a young squirrel's (not so bushy yet) He looks so different from the others I wonder if he really is a CA gray squirrel, just very young and will change color as he gets older, or if he is a different variety. Anyone know?Is this a new kind of Squirrel?

He may be of a different variety. Here in NE, most of the squirrels are brown, and/or reddish brown. Once in a while a black one shows up.
