A squirrel drops a nut over the cliff what is the velocity of the nut after 3 seconds?? After 5 seconds HELP

a squirrel drops a nut over the cliff what is the velocity of the nut after 3 seconds?? After 5 seconds ?? after 10 sec ?? (Ignore air resistince) remember the accelration due to gravity is 9.8 M/s^2

I cant get this....help !! last question on test?? HelpA squirrel drops a nut over the cliff what is the velocity of the nut after 3 seconds?? After 5 seconds HELP
v = a * t

Multiply the time by the accelerationA squirrel drops a nut over the cliff what is the velocity of the nut after 3 seconds?? After 5 seconds HELP
Assuming we're ignoring air resistance, then acceleration is just g, initial velcocity = 0, so velocity simply is acceleration 脳 time.

v = 3 g m/s after 3 s

v = 5 g m/s after 5 s

so for g = 9.8 m/s虏

29.4 m/s after 3 s

49 m/s after 5 s

(if you're not ignoring air resistance then you have to subtract the drag force from the force due to gravity and it gets very much more complicated).
