raising 5 squirrels doesn't make you and expert it just makes you a person with a good heart and who cares. so, as a kind person who cares about these little ones please call a wildlife rehabilitator as the conflicting info online is because there is ALOT of misinformation out there that can also cause harm. I would contact a wildlife rehabber and maybe you could get some pro/vet quality information so you could best help squirrels from now on. good luck
as for eggplant I don't think it would hurt them but they need a variety of foods and depends on their age as well.
