Squirrel in my house?

im 15 and i went to get the mail. i left the front door open and a squirrel got in our house. now its in the basement. i left the door open and tried to get him out. he wont leave. i put a board on the stairs. that way he cant go upstairs. help! i wanted to sleep downstairs. last night, he was climbing in our ceiling! i hear him now climbing in our walls. my mom is furious. we have two traps in the basement. those arent working. we cant call people to help. we have no money in the bank. i have to wear boots and i cant go downstairs to get my cloths. help! how do i get the squirrel out of my house?Squirrel in my house?
bait those traps with peanut butter. they will work.Squirrel in my house?
Do you have a dog? If you do, then open up the house and take him or her with you and go squirrel hunting. If not, then the peanut butter idea is great, it works even better if you squish a saltine cracker in the peanut butter. another good trick is to put sone masking tape over the peanut butter so the animal will have to struggle for the food, this will increase the odds of it getting caught.

A live trap is a more humaine way of catching an animal, although you will have to dispose of it later...thats fun. inside put nuts crackers and peanutbutter...I have found that honey roasted sugar coated peanuts work great on squirrels.
Good story.
Two things that worked for me: food. You leave food out on the route you want the squirrel to go, then leave the door open. It won't work if you're nearby.

Animal control will do it for free.
Call your towns animal control they come out for free.
um, if its in the walls, it will probly die in there, trust me, we've been thorught this. call the animal control, they'lll get it out for free. try getting a pool net or butterlfy net and catch it. block of as much as possible when your going to try to catch it. GOOD LUCK!!!
Grab it. Take it outside. Or call a professional.
He is likely not in your basement any longer if you can hear him elsewhere. Try putting food in the traps. Use bread or nuts or fruits. That is about all you can do. We have them coming in our house constantly from the attic even though we have blocked off all of the places we can see them getting through. They come in and out all of the time. We go into the closet and move clothes around, and have pecans and acorn fall from them. lol They are not harming anything though, so it is no big deal.
man u should thought of it when u opened the door
Shotgun.
