I have a squirrel that was probably hit by a car, how do I care for him.?

Do not take the squirrel to a vet - vets are for pets, and most vets do not have the expertise to care for wild animals. Also, most vets do not have the proper licenses that allow them to keep recouperating wild animals.

Take the squirrel to a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. You can find one here: http://www.tc.umn.edu/~devo0028/contact.鈥?/a>

These people have the specialized training to care for sick, injured and orphaned wild animals. They also have the required state and federal licenses that allow them to keep the wild animals until they are healthy enough to be returned to the wild.

You would not be able to keep the squirrel and care for it yourself, because you do not have the proper licenses. Also, an animal that has been hit by a car needs far more medical attention than you are qualified to give it.I have a squirrel that was probably hit by a car, how do I care for him.?
DEFINETLY TAKE IT TO A VET(whoops caps was on LOL) i love animals a lot and i would take it to a vetI have a squirrel that was probably hit by a car, how do I care for him.?
take the squirrel to the vet and tell them you want to euthanize it and put it out of its misery. if you are against that, take it to your vet or local wildlife rescue group and tell them you want to heal it, and make it clear that you don't want it euthanized.
