They love cracked corn, and it will attract them in like a magnet. They will not usually come to bread stale or otherwise. My favorite recipe for bushy tail tree rat is quartering and lightly breading or flouring them, then frying and adding your favorite hot wing sauce. Mmmmmmmmm goood!


I have smoke tanned the critters by tacking the fur out on a board (fur side down) and placing it in the smoker over night. 1. use the same feed pellets you buy for guinea pigs and spread a handful over your lawn every day. the squirrels will get fat and multiply.


2. they will eat seeds bread corn cobs and left over veggie matter.


3. cook the same way you cook stewed chicken. when you have the meat and broth minus bones done add your favorite veggies chopped to bite size pieces and simmer for another 25 minutes. you can freeze this stew easily.
