Have you ever eaten squirrel & if so, does grey & red squirrel taste the same?

There was a programme on the radio last week and the guy said it tastes like rabbit!Have you ever eaten squirrel %26amp; if so, does grey %26amp; red squirrel taste the same?
I saw a program on t.v. a while back that mentioned the British were concidering them a delicacy.

Smotheed in enough gravy, and a dozen pints beforehand, they would probably be delicious.Have you ever eaten squirrel %26amp; if so, does grey %26amp; red squirrel taste the same?
No, squirrel taste's like squirrel. Stringy meated, but great with dumplings, cooked like chicken and dumplings. Also great fried, but miarinate in refridge for a couple of days to maybe nearly a week if possible. Dont worry, the meat will be fine in the refirdge for a week. Meat stays in the stores for a week or so. Try marinade in Coka Cola and Moore's and a little water, about equil parts each, it will help to break down the fibers in the meat.
Squirrel tastes like squirrel. It tastes nothing at all like rabbit. Red squirrel and fox squirrel are usually a little better, but just because they are usually bigger and not quite as tough.
Red squirrels are an endangered species in the UK so just go for the grey as they are escaped imports from the USA and we all know the americans love Bigger and Better than any other kind
red squirrels have a tastier tail because they are tandoori spiced
Ewww If the animal does not oink, moo, cluck or make bubbles in the water (Fish, Scallops and Shrimp), I ain't eating it!
Nope. No way. Not at all interested in trying them. Around here (Ohio) we also have black squirrels.
i think red squirrel would
